Vehicular FeatsBurnout contests
Ron Buckholz of Federal Way, Washington, laid down 1,598 feet of continuous tire smoke at Pacific Raceways in his 1964 Chevy Chevelle Malibu, earning the Guinness World Record for longest distance car burnout. The Chevelle, powered by a late-model NASCAR motor spinning 6,800-7,200 RPM, sent blue and green smoke billowing over the October sky as more than 600 spectators watched history being made.
Officially certified by Guinness World Records -- the longest continuous single-vehicle burnout ever measured.
