Jen Moran's 110-Foot Cow Chip Throw State Title
Redneck Extreme SportsMost creative competition
The Wisconsin State Cow Chip Throw doesn't hand out style points. It hands out distances, and in 2019 Jen Moran owned the women's field with a final-round throw of 110 feet, nearly a dozen feet past her own preliminary mark of 98 feet 6 inches. Winning at Sauk Prairie means beating throwers from a tradition that goes back to 1975 and has crowned champions every Labor Day weekend since. Moran's name sits in the official results table alongside four decades of Wisconsin's finest arms.
