At the 2019 Wisconsin State Cow Chip Throw in Sauk Prairie, Jordan Powers uncorked a final-round toss of 200 feet 8 inches to take the men's state championship, one of the few throws in the event's history to clear the 200-foot line. The Wisconsin State Championship has run since 1975 and draws hundreds of throwers every Labor Day weekend; its all-time best remains Kevin Troestler's 211-foot heave from 2012, which tells you exactly how rare Powers' air space is. Champions are made one chip at a time.
