Matthew Presley — World Turkey Calling Champion at 22

At just 22 years old, Matthew Presley of Front Royal, Virginia, walked onto the stage at the 2025 World Turkey Calling Championships in Mobile, Alabama, and outperformed the best callers in the country to claim the World Open Championship title. Sanctioned by the National Wild Turkey Federation, the competition tests mastery across multiple call types -- from box calls to diaphragms -- judging callers on their ability to replicate the full vocabulary of a wild turkey.
