Craigyhill Bonfire 2024 — The 205-Foot Tower of Pallets
Redneck DaredevilsMost creative stunt
In the town of Larne, Northern Ireland, a dedicated crew spent three months stacking 363 layers of pallets into a tower that touched the sky at 205 feet and 0.269 inches -- taller than a 20-story building, crowned with a 35-foot beacon on top. On the night of July 11, 2024, the Craigyhill Bonfire was lit for the annual Eleventh Night celebration, shattering the previous Guinness record of 198 feet 11 inches. Over 40,000 spectators came to watch it burn.
Tallest bonfire ever constructed, breaking the previous Guinness World Record by over 6 feet.
